August 30, 2026 - Philemon 8-12, 17 - One of the things that makes the book of Philemon unique is that it is not a teaching letter as such, it is a business letter. Paul gets right down to business, the business of appealing to Philemon to receive Onesimus as a brother in Christ. Though Paul is not writing this to teach, we can still learn a lot about making an appeal from this passage.
August 23, 2026 - Philemon 1-7 - We are introduced to Philemon, his wife Apphia, and his son Archippus, and learn of Paul's thankfulness, prayers for, and appreciation of Philemon.
Special Messages
Two of the messages in this section are a couple of the most important messages I have ever preached. The truths in these messages are very little understood, and yet they impact our lives as Christians in profound ways. The messages are intended to be listened to as a unit, "Glorifying God" first, and then "Motivation for Ministry." I strongly encourage you to listen to them.
I have recently added a third message that I also believe is very important, because our view of God has been deteriorating in the past generation. We must return to a high view of God.
November 23, 2025 - This message answers two questions: Why are we unthankful, and what can we do about it?
Isaiah 55:5-9 The most wonderful thing about God is that He is far beyond our comprehension. Yet there is nothing more challenging and rewarding than trying to comprehend Him!
What the real "Chief end of Man" is, and how this can motivate us in our service for God.
What Glorifying God is really all about, and how we can glorify God.
